Based on the acclaimed Encyclopaedia of Arable Weeds and developed in association with ADAS, the BASF Weed ID App aims to provide an easy-to-use reference guide to the major broad-leaved weeds and grass-weeds in the UK, supporting the identification of 140 species.

The BASF Weed ID App modernizes weed identification by eliminating the need to carry books into the field for identifying potential weed species. Properly identifying the weed species that need to be controlled is crucial for effective agricultural practices when choosing the most suitable herbicide. This application has been tailored to serve as a practical, user-friendly tool for Crop Advisors, Growers, Trainee Agronomists, and Agricultural Students. Accurate weed identification is the primary step towards successful control – access this intuitive and helpful tool today.

The main features of the Weed ID App include:

 <li>Quick and easy access to an extensive weed library with over 140 species and more than 1000 images</li>
 <li>Detailed descriptions of each weed species at cotyledon, young plant, and mature plant growth stages, accompanied by images to aid identification</li>
 <li>Precise grass-weed line drawings to highlight distinguishing features that are often challenging to discern from photographs</li>
 <li>Interactive search function within the weed library using the Weed ID Filter, Common Name List, Scientific Name List, or Free Text Search</li>
 <li>Mapmyweed tool to accurately pinpoint the location of weeds on a map; include name, patch size, and year</li>
 <li>Capability to photograph a weed in your field and compare it directly with images in the App library</li>
 <li>Easily export your weed photo and its GPS location through email at the touch of a button to share with customers or colleagues</li>
